Pakistan is set to receive its seventh liquefied natural gas (LNG) cargo on Monday as authorities work to secure stable energy supplies amid heightened geopolitical tensions in the Middle East following the Iran–US conflict.

According to shipping details, the LNG carrier MRAIKH is scheduled to dock at Port Qasim carrying around 170,148 cubic meters of LNG loaded from Ras Laffan, Qatar. The cargo has been procured under a long-term agreement linked to 13.37 percent of Brent crude oil prices.

The vessel is expected to reach Port Qasim’s outer anchorage around 6:00 a.m. local time before berthing at the Pakistan GasPort Limited (PGPL) terminal for unloading.

Officials said the National Crisis Management Cell has played a key role in arranging multiple LNG shipments from QatarEnergy since late April to maintain uninterrupted gas availability in the country.

With this latest arrival, Pakistan will have received seven LNG cargoes in recent weeks, as the government continues efforts to strengthen energy security and reduce vulnerability to global supply disruptions.
