Gold prices in Pakistan rose sharply on Monday, tracking gains in the international bullion market.
In the local market, the price of gold per tola increased by Rs10,800 during the day to reach Rs455,136, according to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
Similarly, the price of 10-gram gold climbed by Rs9,720 to settle at Rs389,600.
This follows a recent upward trend, as on Saturday the per tola gold price had already risen by Rs4,370 to Rs444,336.
Internationally, gold prices gained $108 per ounce to reach $4,327, with an additional $20 premium.
Silver prices also moved higher, rising by Rs230 per tola to reach Rs7,509 in the local market.
