New data cited from UN sources and reported by Oxfam indicates a significant rise in Palestinian fatalities and displacement in the occupied West Bank since 2023.

According to the figures, 1,244 Palestinians—including 268 children—were killed between 2023 and 2025 by Israeli forces and settlers. This exceeds the 1,036 deaths recorded from 2006 to 2022 combined.

The report also notes a sharp increase in displacement, with around 46,000 Palestinians forced from their homes in the past three years, compared to approximately 13,000 in the previous 14-year period.

Violence linked to military operations, settler attacks, demolitions, and movement restrictions is cited as the primary cause.

In early 2026 alone, Oxfam recorded hundreds of settler attacks, dozens of deaths, and thousands of displacements.

Oxfam officials described the situation as extremely severe, warning of a rapidly deteriorating humanitarian situation in the West Bank.
