Pakistan’s Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) offloaded 39,786 passengers during 2025 due to various travel irregularities, according to data presented in a National Assembly committee.
Out of these, 20,408 passengers were stopped for incomplete travel documentation, while 12,673 were flagged for suspicious travel patterns and high-risk destinations. Additionally, 3,450 individuals were offloaded due to watchlists and Interpol alerts.
Authorities also prevented 505 passengers from traveling due to improper routes, while 281 were stopped for fake documents. Another 176 were flagged for unusual travel histories, and 145 cases required further verification of visas and travel protectors.
The FIA further reported that 258 minors were offloaded due to safety concerns, and 24 individuals were stopped for suspected job-seeking on visit visas.
Officials also expressed concern over misuse of student visas in several countries, including reports of nearly 10,000 cases involving the UK alone.
