Treet Battery Limited has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with China’s Contemporary Nebula Technology Energy Co., Ltd. (CNTE) to explore opportunities in Pakistan’s energy storage sector, according to a disclosure filed with the Pakistan Stock Exchange.
The agreement was signed on May 25, 2026, and sets out a framework for potential collaboration in battery-based energy storage systems.
CNTE is a China-based energy storage technology company established in 2019 and supported by Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (CATL), one of the world’s largest battery manufacturers and a leading global supplier of energy storage and power batteries.
Under the proposed partnership, both companies will evaluate opportunities in residential, commercial, and industrial energy storage applications in Pakistan.
The collaboration is expected to introduce CATL-based energy storage technology, technical expertise, and product solutions to the local market through Treet Battery’s distribution network and after-sales infrastructure.
The agreement also includes potential future exploration of local assembly and value addition in Pakistan.
The development comes amid rising demand for energy storage systems in Pakistan, driven by the rapid expansion of renewable energy—particularly solar power—where battery storage is increasingly seen as essential for grid stability and efficient energy use.
Treet Battery said the MoU is aimed at identifying long-term business opportunities and strengthening its position in the country’s evolving energy solutions sector.
