Pakistan’s federal budget will not be presented on June 5, as the government has revised the fiscal schedule.
According to official sources, the National Economic Council (NEC) meeting originally set for June 3 has been postponed, with a formal notification issued in this regard.
Authorities have yet to announce a new date for the budget presentation. However, it is expected that the budget may now be tabled on June 8 or June 12.
The notification also stated that the revised date for the NEC meeting will be communicated later.
The development has effectively pushed back the timeline for the federal budget announcement.
