The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has reinstated 18 officers who were earlier removed during the tenure of former Chairman Chaudhry Mohammad Ali Randhawa. The officials, previously placed under the Human Resource Development (HRD) Department, have now been restored to their posts or reassigned to new responsibilities as part of a broader internal restructuring aimed at improving efficiency and coordination.

Among the reinstated officers, Mr. Irfan Azeem Khan, previously Director Environment, has been appointed as Deputy Director General (Environment-I) and has also been given additional charge of DDG (Environment-II). Mr. Azhar Khursheed, serving as Director (Executive) BS-19, has also been assigned a new role, with his posting currently under adjustment.

In the environmental and urban management divisions, Mr. Syed Abid Shah and Mr. Akram Ranjha have been posted as Deputy Directors under HRD, where they will work on Urban-II and environmental management initiatives.

Significant changes have also been made at the senior management level. Mr. Wasim Sabir, previously Director (E&M), has been promoted and posted as Director General (E&M), replacing Mian Irfan Javed. Mr. Habib Ullah Sheikh has been transferred to the Directorate General (Infrastructure), while Mr. Sardar Khan Zimri has been assigned to Director General (Islamabad Water).

At the deputy director level, Mr. Ejaz-ul-Hasan has been posted under the Director Sector Development. Meanwhile, Mr. Ammar Idrees and Mr. Abid Farooq, both Deputy Directors (Civil), have been reassigned to Coordination and Technical (Works) roles, expanding their responsibilities in project execution and technical oversight.

The Parks and Environment wings have also seen key adjustments. Mr. Akram Ranjha has been appointed Deputy Director (Parks), while Mr. Aurangzeb Bajkani has been posted as Deputy Director (Parks), Urban-II. Both will be responsible for maintaining and improving green areas across Islamabad.

Additionally, Mr. Atta Bari Arshad, Assistant Director (Land Rehabilitation), has been moved to the environmental section.

At the assistant director level, Mr. Arif Ali has been posted as Assistant Director (Maintenance-III), while Mr. Sanaullah has been assigned to Assistant Director (P&C). These changes are part of CDA’s wider effort to streamline operations, strengthen departmental coordination, and improve project delivery across the authority.
