Rawalpindiz skipper Mohammad Rizwan has labeled his franchise one of the most unfortunate sides of PSL 11 while accepting personal responsibility for the team’s struggles.
Speaking after the match, Rizwan said the squad appeared strong on paper but was repeatedly disrupted by injuries, unavailable overseas players, and constant lineup changes throughout the tournament.
He revealed that multiple key players became unavailable soon after the draft, forcing management to reshuffle combinations almost every game.
Despite highlighting these setbacks, Rizwan avoided excuses and said his own performance was the biggest factor behind disappointing results.
“As captain and opening batter, my performance directly affects the team,” he admitted, adding that improved individual form could have changed outcomes.
Rizwan described the campaign as one of the toughest phases of his career but remained optimistic that renewed effort and preparation could reverse fortunes in future PSL seasons.
