Turkey is set to host fresh diplomatic talks later this week aimed at advancing the creation of a new regional security cooperation platform involving Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and potentially Egypt.

The discussions are expected to take place on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, beginning Friday, according to reports. The proposed initiative seeks to establish a structured mechanism for regular coordination on regional security, strategic concerns, and broader geopolitical stability.

Officials familiar with the matter said foreign ministers of Turkey, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and possibly Egypt have been invited to participate. This would mark the third round of discussions within a month, following earlier meetings held in Riyadh and Islamabad.

Pakistan’s Foreign Office spokesperson also confirmed that senior representatives from the four countries met earlier this week in Islamabad to prepare for the upcoming Antalya engagement.

The ongoing talks are focused on building a long-term framework for security cooperation, including coordination on sovereignty, territorial integrity, and regional stability. Officials stressed that the initiative is separate from other diplomatic efforts related to ongoing regional conflicts, including tensions involving Iran.

Earlier reports indicated that Turkey has been exploring participation in an existing defense understanding between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, with discussions continuing but no formal agreement signed so far.

The latest diplomatic push reflects growing momentum among friendly states to institutionalize regular security consultations and enhance regional coordination.
