Gold prices in Pakistan moved higher on Friday, tracking gains in international bullion markets after a sharp decline in the previous trading session.

According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of one tola of gold increased by Rs3,000, settling at Rs497,662. Meanwhile, the rate for 10 grams rose by Rs2,572, reaching Rs426,664.

The upward adjustment follows Thursday’s significant correction, when gold prices had dropped by Rs9,500 per tola to close at Rs494,662.

Internationally, bullion prices strengthened, with gold gaining $30 per ounce to trade at $4,753, alongside an additional premium of $20 in global markets. The rise in overseas prices provided support to domestic rates, which typically move in line with international trends and currency fluctuations.

Silver prices also recorded an increase in the local market, climbing Rs130 per tola to settle at Rs8,014.
