Lucky Motor Corporation (LMC) has entered into an exclusive strategic agreement with Guangzhou Automobile Group (GAC), paving the way for one of China’s largest automotive manufacturers to formally enter Pakistan’s automobile market.
Under the partnership, Lucky Motor will introduce GAC’s new energy vehicle brands, Aion and Hyptec, in Pakistan. Details regarding the commercial rollout, vehicle lineup, pricing strategy, and dealership expansion are expected to be revealed in the coming weeks.
GAC, a Fortune 500 automaker, is widely recognized for its advancements in electric mobility, battery systems, and intelligent vehicle technologies. Its EV-focused brands Aion and Hyptec rank among China’s leading new energy vehicle manufacturers and have gained strong market traction in recent years.
The collaboration is expected to accelerate the development of Pakistan’s electric and hybrid vehicle ecosystem by bringing modern EV platforms, advanced battery technology, and globally competitive mobility solutions to local consumers.
Lucky Motor stated that the partnership will also promote localization, create employment opportunities, enable technology transfer, and contribute to long-term industrial growth, further strengthening the company’s footprint in Pakistan’s evolving automotive sector.
GAC’s entry comes amid growing global expansion by Chinese automakers and could intensify competition in Pakistan’s emerging EV market by introducing technologically advanced and competitively priced new energy vehicles.
