Gold prices in Pakistan extended their upward momentum on Monday, registering another strong increase in line with a recovery in international markets.

According to data released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold per tola climbed by Rs. 3,900, reaching Rs. 475,962. The rate for 10 grams also moved higher, gaining Rs. 3,343 to settle at Rs. 408,060.

The latest rise follows Saturday’s sharp increase, when gold prices jumped by Rs. 4,800 per tola to close at Rs. 472,062.

In the global market, gold prices advanced by $39 per ounce, pushing the international rate to $4,532 per ounce, including a premium of $20.

Silver prices also rebounded in the local market, rising by Rs. 70 per tola to settle at Rs. 7,524.
