The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is preparing to begin handing over possession of plots in Islamabad’s E-12 sector within the next one to two months, as development work in key areas approaches completion.
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi informed the National Assembly that development in E-12/1 has already been completed on the available land, while work in E-12/2 and E-12/3 is progressing at a fast pace and is expected to be finalized within two months, depending on on-ground conditions.
He noted that delays in possession have occurred in certain pockets due to illegal encroachments. However, plots located on cleared land where development is complete will be handed over shortly. Relevant authorities, including the CDA, Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration, and law enforcement agencies, are actively working to remove these encroachments to ensure progress.
The minister further highlighted that E-12/4 has faced significant setbacks due to long-standing land disputes and unlawful occupation. Development in this sub-sector will commence once the area is fully cleared.
Officials confirmed that the process of handing over plots on available and developed land will begin within the next two months, while work in the remaining areas will continue after resolving encroachment issues.
