Barkat Frisian Agro Limited has successfully completed trial operations at its new egg processing plant in Faisalabad, marking a key milestone in the company’s expansion and supply chain integration strategy.

In a notification to the Pakistan Stock Exchange, the company confirmed that the facility at Plot No. 51, Phase II, M-3 Industrial City has passed testing and is scheduled to commence full commercial production next month. The plant is expected to significantly boost production capacity to cater to growing demand for pasteurized egg products in domestic and international markets.

The company also shared progress on its broader expansion initiatives. Orders have been placed for machinery for a new dried egg powder production facility, with letters of credit issued for the required equipment. Construction on the project is already underway and advancing as planned.

Furthermore, Barkat Frisian Agro is pursuing backward integration through poultry layer farming to strengthen its supply chain. Land acquisition is complete, equipment orders have been made, and construction of the farming infrastructure has started. These measures aim to enhance operational efficiency and ensure a steady supply of raw materials for its processing plants.

Operating in Pakistan’s value-added egg products sector, Barkat Frisian Agro specializes in pasteurized egg-based ingredients for bakeries, food processors, and export markets. Following its recent listing on the Pakistan Stock Exchange, the company has focused on expanding its production footprint and developing export-oriented facilities. Its product portfolio includes liquid eggs, pasteurized egg blends, and other value-added egg derivatives for industrial food applications.
