The Power Division has released its two-month report on the industrial surplus electricity package for December 2025 and January 2026.

Under the three-year long-term industrial concession program, 127,686 industrial consumers—representing 46% of all industrial users—benefited from a total of Rs. 12.125 billion over the two months.

All industries, both large and small, received Rs. 10.3 per unit discount on surplus electricity usage. During this period, 1,176 million units were sold under the package, accounting for 23.8% of total industrial electricity sales.

In December 2025, 557 million units were supplied under the package, benefiting 125,829 consumers with Rs. 5.743 billion in savings. In January 2026, the package covered 619 million units, assisting 127,686 consumers with Rs. 6.382 billion in benefits.

A Power Division spokesperson highlighted that Federal Minister for Power, Sardar Awais Ahmed Khan Leghari, personally monitors the program and oversees all measures aimed at supporting the industrial sector.
