Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (PSX: OGDC) has confirmed the successful appraisal and testing of a new development well at Dars West-3 in Sindh’s Tando Allah Yar district, marking another positive step in expanding domestic energy supplies.

According to a regulatory filing, Oil and Gas Development Company Limited drilled the well to a depth of 2,100 meters, targeting the C-Sand interval of the Lower Goru Formation. The well was tested using the company’s internal technical resources.

Test production showed gas flow of 9.70 million standard cubic feet per day, accompanied by condensate output of 580 barrels per day. The well recorded a wellhead flowing pressure of 1,725 pounds per square inch at a choke size of 36/64 inches.

The results highlight the continued hydrocarbon potential of the Lower Goru C-Sand reservoir in the Dars West block. OGDCL said pipeline construction is underway, and once completed, output from the well will be processed at the KPD–TAY facility before being injected into the Sui Southern Gas Company Limited network.

The Dars West Development and Production Lease is operated by OGDCL with a 77.5 percent working interest, while Government Holdings Private Limited holds the remaining 22.5 percent stake.

The company added that the development reflects its ongoing efforts in reservoir assessment, testing, and field development to enhance national oil and gas output.
