Gold prices in Pakistan soared to a new record on Monday, mirroring gains in international markets. In the local market, the price of gold per tola surged by Rs. 5,900 in a single day, reaching Rs. 403,600.

Similarly, the price of 10-gram gold climbed to Rs. 346,021 after an increase of Rs. 5,058, according to rates shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

Just two days earlier, on Saturday, gold prices had already reached Rs. 397,700 per tola after a daily gain of Rs. 1,900.

The international price of gold also rose on Monday. According to APGJSA, the global rate stood at $3,818 per ounce (including a $20 premium), up by $59 during the day.

Silver prices followed suit, increasing by Rs. 88 per tola to reach Rs. 4,792.
