United Bank Limited (UBL) has made a pioneering move in Pakistan’s banking sector by announcing that selected branches will now remain open on Sundays, offering customers banking services every day of the week.

According to an announcement on UBL’s official social media channels, these branches will operate from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sundays, providing six hours of service. “Banking services available for you every day of the week,” the bank stated in its message.

While it is common for selected branches of most banks to open on Saturdays, UBL is the first to extend public dealing hours to Sundays, setting a new precedent in customer convenience. The list of branches participating in this initiative is available online.

The move comes as competition intensifies among Pakistani banks, with institutions striving to enhance customer service. Recently, another bank extended its weekday hours, keeping selected branches open from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
