The Pakistan Meteorological Department’s Flood Forecasting Division has issued a fresh weather outlook, warning of continued monsoon activity and heightened flood risks across several regions of the country.

According to the latest bulletin, monsoon rains are expected to persist over the upper catchments of all major rivers, as well as in north and northeast Punjab, until July 9. The department has specifically cautioned about the risk of flash flooding in the tributaries of the Kabul River, the hill torrents of Dera Ghazi Khan Division, and eastern Balochistan.

Urban flooding is also likely in major cities of north and central Punjab up to July 10, the advisory states.

Authorities have urged residents in vulnerable areas to remain alert and take necessary precautions as the situation develops. The forecast is being updated daily to reflect changing weather patterns.
