Pakistan’s military has successfully conducted a training launch of the FATAH Series surface-to-surface missile system as part of the ongoing Exercise INDUS, according to a statement from Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The missile, with a range of 120 kilometers, was tested to validate key technical parameters including its advanced navigation system and enhanced accuracy capabilities. The launch also served to ensure operational readiness of troops.
Senior military leadership, including the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee and the Chief of Army Staff, congratulated the participating troops, scientists, and engineers on the successful test. They expressed “complete confidence in the operational preparedness and technical proficiency of Pakistan Army to thwart any aggression against the territorial integrity of Pakistan.”
The test was witnessed by senior officers from the Pakistan Army along with scientists and engineers from the country’s strategic organizations.
This launch follows another successful test on Saturday of the Abdali Weapon System, a surface-to-surface missile with a range of 450 kilometers. Both tests come amid heightened tensions between Pakistan and India following a deadly attack in occupied Kashmir’s Pahalgam area.
