Gold prices continued their upward momentum on Monday, reaching new all-time highs in both local and international markets. In Pakistan, the price of gold per tola surged by Rs8,100 in a single day to close at Rs357,800, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold rose by Rs6,944 to Rs306,755. The previous trading session on Saturday saw gold prices per tola remain steady at Rs349,700.

On the international front, gold also hit a fresh record, trading at $3,395 per ounce with a premium of $20, marking a $69 increase during the day, APGJSA reported.

Meanwhile, silver prices edged higher by Rs24, settling at Rs3,441 per tola.
