The federal government is set to present the federal budget for the fiscal year 2025-26 in the first week of June 2025, according to the recently issued Budget Call Circular by the Finance Division. The announcement outlines the timeline for the budget presentation and subsequent parliamentary proceedings.

It is anticipated that the Finance Minister will table the budget in the National Assembly, with the Upper House (Senate) of Parliament expected to receive the budget on the same day. Following its presentation, the Lower House of Parliament will engage in discussions on the budgetary provisions for the next fiscal year. These deliberations are expected to continue until the end of June 2025.

The new budget is likely to be approved immediately after the conclusion of these discussions, paving the way for its implementation in the upcoming fiscal year.
