Customers across Pakistan are facing significant difficulties in depositing money and conducting transactions at banks due to ongoing internet disruptions following recent anti-government protests in the capital. What used to be a matter of minutes has now turned into hours of delays, leaving citizens frustrated and inconvenienced.

The internet outages have severely impacted banking operations, with long queues forming outside banks and ATMs as people struggle to access basic financial services. Many citizens have expressed their frustration, questioning where they should go with cash in hand when banks are unable to process their transactions.

Videos circulating on social media highlight the growing frustration among the public. In one such video, a citizen standing in front of a bank entrance, with a long queue visible in the background, explained how he was denied banking services due to the lack of internet connectivity. Others in the video shared similar experiences, reporting that they were unable to deposit cash or complete essential transactions.

The situation has been exacerbated by the widespread internet disruptions, which have also led to a surge in VPN usage across the country. According to reports, VPN usage in Pakistan has increased by over 2,380% as citizens attempt to bypass the internet blockages.

Many affected individuals are pleading with the government to address the issue urgently, as the disruptions are not only impacting banking services but also causing widespread inconvenience in daily life. While internet services have reportedly improved in Islamabad, connectivity remains poor in other cities, further compounding the problem.
