The price of gold in Pakistan experienced its first substantial rise in nearly two weeks on Tuesday. According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 24-carat gold increased by Rs. 3,600 per tola, reaching Rs. 273,500. Similarly, the price for 10 grams of gold rose by Rs. 3,086, bringing it to Rs. 234,482.

This follows a previous increase of Rs. 2,500 per tola on Monday, resulting in a total two-day increase of Rs. 6,100 per tola. The recent uptick comes after a period of declining prices, with gold dropping to Rs. 266,000 per tola last week, a significant decrease from the all-time high of Rs. 287,900 recorded at the end of the previous month.

On the international stage, spot gold prices also saw an upward trend, rising 0.3 percent to $2,619.50 per ounce by 0829 GMT, marking the highest level since November 12. This follows a 2 percent gain on Monday, as prices rebounded from a two-month low observed last Thursday.
