The federal government has announced that the prices of petroleum products will remain unchanged for the upcoming fortnight. According to the notification, the price of petrol will stay at Rs. 248.38 per liter, while high-speed diesel will continue to be priced at Rs. 255.14 per liter.

In a statement, the Ministry of Finance explained that the Oil & Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) calculated the prices based on international market trends over the past two weeks. “It has accordingly been decided that the prices of the petroleum products would remain unchanged during the next fortnight,” the statement read.

During the last fortnightly review, the government had increased the price of petrol by Rs. 1.35 per liter and high-speed diesel by Rs. 3.85 per liter, setting the current rates at Rs. 248.38 and Rs. 255.14, respectively. This decision to maintain prices comes amid ongoing monitoring of global oil price fluctuations.
