Gold prices in Pakistan continued their upward trajectory for the fifth consecutive day on Monday, edging closer to the Rs. 300,000 per tola mark. According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 24-carat gold increased by Rs. 500 per tola, reaching Rs. 282,300. Meanwhile, the price for 10 grams rose by Rs. 429, settling at Rs. 242,027.
This surge follows a steady climb from Rs. 275,000 per tola recorded last Tuesday, October 15. Over the past five sessions, gold prices have increased by Rs. 7,300 per tola, setting new all-time highs each day.
The rise in domestic gold prices mirrors trends in the international market, where gold also reached record levels on Monday. Spot gold increased by 0.3 percent to $2,729.40 per ounce as of 0654 GMT, while US gold futures climbed 0.6 percent to $2,744.80.
