Several major roads in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan were closed on Tuesday following the snowfall. The local administration announced that roads in Chilas, Babusar, and Naran have been shut down for all traffic due to heavy snow accumulation.

Authorities have taken this precautionary measure to ensure traveler safety, as driving in such conditions poses significant risks. Snow-clearing operations are currently underway, but officials are urging the public to avoid unnecessary travel until the roads are declared safe.

The heavy snowfall has significantly reduced visibility, heightening the risk of accidents. Officials stressed the importance of staying informed about weather and road conditions before embarking on any journeys.

Travelers are advised to exercise caution, stay updated on the latest advisories, and adhere to guidelines set by authorities to avoid hazardous situations during the ongoing snowfall.
