The Pakistani rupee (PKR) extended its winning streak for the 109th consecutive day on Friday, closing higher against the US Dollar (USD).
The local currency gained three paisas to settle at 279.47 PKR per USD and recorded positive movements against most major currencies.
Against other currencies, the PKR edged up by Rs. 1.77 against the British Pound (GBP) and seven paisas against the Euro (EUR). It also posted modest gains against the Chinese Yuan (CNY) and Canadian Dollar (CAD).
However, the rupee slipped slightly against the Australian Dollar (AUD) and the UAE Dirham (AED), while showing a minor gain against the Saudi Riyal (SAR).
